The Point Betsie Lighthouse www.pointbetsie.org Located on a veryy thin strip of land between Lake Michigan and beautiful Crystal Lake, Point Betsie Lighthouse may be Benzie County’s most popular landmark. It is one of the Eastern Time Zone’s most western point in the midwest so spectacular sunsets are visible later in the evening than most sites in the time zone. The Garden Theater http://www.frankfortgardentheater.com The historic Garden Theater located in downtown Frankfort is available for unique private functions, including incredible wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Garden has seating for over 300 guests for a wedding ceremony and can accommodate receptions for up to 200 people. Pricing to rent the theater varies by season and by day of the week. The Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts www.oliverartcenterfrankfort.org/ sits at the mouth of the Betsie Bay on the shores of Lake Michigan.  The center is housed in the renovated, former Frankfort Coast Guard Station and offers a unique setting for receptions, reunions, meetings, conferences, and other special events.  Two large gallery rooms can host groups for sit down meals up to 150.  Larger groups can be accommodated for strolling receptions and open houses.  In the summer there is space outdoors for tents if expanded capacity is needed. Elberta Life-Saving Station. www.villageofelberta.org This Historic Life-Saving Station is a former life-saving station located on the shores of picturesque Betsie Bay. The building has been historically restored and has an occupancy of approximately 280. A large deck overlooking the bay allows for additional space.  The Life-Saving Station  comes complete with kitchen facilities and is handicap accessible. The Mills Community House www.millscommhouse.org Centrally located in the heart of Benzie County lies a 100-year-old building that once housed one of northern Michigan’s first colleges. Located near the corner of US 31 and M115 at the top of the hill in Benzonia locates it just minutes away from beautiful churches and beaches throughout the county. The Mills has great seating and parking capacity and is full of character and charm. Additionally, its upper level facility has a complete performance stage for those who would like to use it for a variety of reasons. Contact: 231-882-0591.

Grow Benzie www.growbenzie.org This venue location is situation between Benzonia and Frankfort on M-115. It has the capacity to comfortably seat as many as 250 guests. Ramsdell Theatre manisteemi.gov This unique historic venue has many options available for receptions and weddings. The completely restored Ramsdell Theatre offers a spectacular theatre space with gorgeous original artwork for ceremonies; an airy ballroom with elegant chandeliers and hardwood floors for large receptions; and an intimate gallery space, Hardy Hall, with intricate woodwork and a permanent collection from the Manistee Art Institute—appropriate for ceremonies and/or receptions. Beaches and Parks throughout the City of Frankfort With just a facility request form, the City of Frankfort will help you to reserve a beach on Lake Michigan or Crystal Lake for your special beach wedding ceremony. If you would prefer, there are several parks on the Betsie Bay or in the interior of town that are also available for your special events. Harbor Lights Resort is located on the beach in Frankfort and offers a variety of lodging options from motel rooms to suites and vacation condominiums. They also offer a private beach than can be used by guests for wedding ceremonies for a nominal fee.
